Davis Street Resource Recovery Complex and Transfer Station
Important Notice: Due to the nationwide coin shortage, effective September 20, 2021, this transfer station will only accept exact change when paying by cash. Credit and debit cards will still be accepted. We apologize for any inconvenience, and we thank you for your business.
Welcome to the Davis Street Resource Recovery Complex and Transfer Station. Our state-of-the-art facility is designed to recover materials for reuse, recycling or composting and to facilitate the transfer of trash to the Altamont Landfill in Livermore.
Services include:
- NEW! Carpet Recycling (This program is supported by Carpet America Recovery Effort (CARE) in an effort to reduce the amount of carpets going to the landfill.) Information on preparing your carpet for drop off can be downloaded here (English/Spanish | English/Chinese).
Davis Street is also helping to close the loop on organic materials at its WM EarthCare Landscape Center. It offers compost approved for organic farming, soil blends and mulch in a variety of natural dye colors. All the products are made from locally sourced, 100% recycled materials.
Since 1980, Davis Street has been a leader in resource recovery and sustainability services in the Bay Area. We are proud to serve Alameda County and its communities.
Effective January 1, 2022, the environmental charge will increase to 20% of all invoice charges, including the fuel surcharge and excluding taxes, or to a flat per load rate of $15.00 for small loads or $30.00 for large loads.
The environmental charge allows us to cover enterprise-wide costs throughout North America associated with operating our collection, transfer, recycling and landfill operations in a safe and environmentally responsible manner and to achieve an acceptable operating margin. These costs include expenses associated with environmental compliance, such as landfill development, environmental testing, and maintenance of environmental systems at our facilities.
